Never in my life has a cold fucked me up the way this one has. It’s seriously been terrible. My voice is still really hoarse (I’ll add the link to my vlog from today below, if you want to hear how bad it is), my chest is still really congested, I’m coughing and hacking, my nose is still stuffy, and I still don’t feel all that great…

https://vid.me/pjV9

On the bright side, I do feel quite a lot better today! Much better than I felt over the weekend! I’m still doing my best to rest, eat lots off fruits and veggies, and hydrate. Which is actually going a lot better than it was over the weekend, because now I actually want to eat and drink. 🙂

I also got in another short, slow “run” (there was quite a bit of walking done, for only doing a mile) this morning. These short easy runs have really helped clear out my nose and chest, but I’m still not up for doing much more than a mile yet and the warm weather sure isn’t helping. It was a little over 70 degrees when I finally hit the pavement today. I do need to start waking up before the sun gets up. That will make running feel a little better, but right now I’m just focusing on getting enough rest so that I can get over this damn cold. Then I’ll start worrying about waking up at 5 am, and getting back to a more normal running scheduled.

Anyway now that I’ve run and showered I guess I’m going to continue resting. All this sitting around is kinda driving me stir crazy, but I know it’s what my body needs right now, so I’m going to do it. I’ve started re-reading The Stand for the 8 billionth time, so that should help keep me busy. Yesterday I spent some time outside on my back porch reading, trying to get rid of my terrible running shoe tan lines, and soaking up some vitamin D. So I think I’m off to do do that again. I feel like helped a bit. And the ridiculous amount of blueberries that I ate yesterday probably helped a little bit too haha. Yay vitamin C and antioxidants!! 😉

Thursday Things

Guys! Have you seen the new Honey Stinger waffle flavors yet?!? I had heard they were coming out with new flavors for this spring, but I hadn’t heard what they were until a few days ago; chocolate mint, and vanilla and chocolate!! I’m for real super duper excited about these things! Chocolate mint is pretty much my favorite flavor of anything ever, and rumor has it that the vanilla and chocolate waffles taste like s’mores. How neat is that?!

I’m not sure when they’ll be available though. Their blog is a little bit vague about that; stating that they will be available for sale this spring at select stores, and on their website, along with Amazon.com. But whenever they become available to purchase, I’m definitely going to be trying them!

img_2248

So, is daylight savings still messing with anyone else? Because I’m still adjusting to springing forward an hour. Ever since we did I’ve had trouble waking up, and this morning I woke up an hour later than I usually would have. Except not really, because technically it was the exact time I would have woken up before the time change. I’m sure I’ll adjust in a few more days, it’s just not a fun process haha.

Since I woke up an hour later than I wanted to, I ran an hour later than I would have liked. It’s not like I had anything to be late for or even really planned for today, but I do like to stay somewhat on a scheduled, and I actually want to start running earlier in an effort to get used to getting out there earlier. Because before I know it I’ll be getting up and out the door before the sun comes up. I’m definitely not looking forward to that, but it’s totally necessary in the summer…Anyway, my run today was just an easy 30 minutes. Initially I really didn’t want to do it (probably because of the daylight savings thing), but I ended up feeling really good and had fun, so I’m glad I did. 🙂

img_2259

I started out my run with a light jacket on, but near the end I had to take if off and finished the last 10 minutes or so in just a tank top. I guess the few cold days we’ve had and the light snow that happened on Tuesday was just winter’s last little hurrah. Here in Kansas, the highs for the rest of the week are supposed to be in the low to mid 60’s, and the high on Sunday is supposed to be 80 degrees. So I guess that means Luke and I should be good to get our garden started this weekend. I suppose at the very least we can get everything tilled and then I can start planting whenever I see fit. I don’t really need Luke’s help with that, but I when it comes to tilling I sure do! Haha I don’t like using our tiller because it vibrates really bad and that makes my arms go numb, so I just make Luke do it. But in all fairness, I end up doing most of the weeding, watering, pest control, and what not, so it all works out quite nicely. 🙂

Speaking of warmer weather; I saw this little gem on…Facebook? Instagram? I don’t remember exactly (although I did re-post in on Instagram 😉 ), but I thought it was something most runners can relate to! I’ve already got pretty awesome sports bra, shoe, and watch tan lines going on, and it’s only the middle of March! They’re going to end up being sooo much worse by the end of the summer! Especially since I’m going to be spending a week or so in Florida in July. Ah the joys of being a runner.

img_2260

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m actually kinda proud of my tan lines. They just prove I’ve put in a lot of work  over the summer. 🙂

Along with my awesome tan lines, I’m also sporting a super spiffy bruise on my leg. I obtained said bruise by walking into a table at some point over the weekend (I wanna say Sunday morning, but I don’t remember for sure). You read that right. I walked into a table, and bruised my leg. Pretty badly too! It was even swollen for a few days after leg met table. Luckily my klutzy-ness didn’t cause me to miss out on any running, because it totally has before! Once I was doing handstands back when I lived in an apartment, and smacked my foot on the low part of the ceiling that separated the living room from the kitchen. My foot swelled up enough that I couldn’t walk properly for a few days, let alone run. So at least I didn’t have some kind of weird repeat of that.

Processed with Rookie Cam

Oh! And another time, when I was in second grade, I wasn’t paying attention to what I was doing and stepped barefoot onto a pitchfork. It went all the way through my toe. ALL THE WAY THROUGH!! Yeah that was the day I learned to always wear shoes in barns and to watch were I step. I still have the scar to prove it too!

img_2265

Obviously it’s really old so it’s pretty faded, but you can still kinda see it there next to my thumb. Also, just ignore that cat hair. I am literally always covered in dog/cat hair…

I could name about 8 million other dumb ways that I’ve ended up getting hurt. Honestly it’s pretty impressive that I’ve managed to make it through 25 years of life without dying (although I have had my brushes with death. The first when I was born and the second when my appendix ruptured, but those are really long stories for another day). Haha it’s instances like the ones I’ve just mentioned that are the reason that Luke wouldn’t let me get up on the roof and take down our Christmas lights in January. I probably really would have fallen off or something. I am a terrible klutz.

On an unrelated note (but seriously, when is anything I ever talk about in a “Thursday Things” post related anyway?), you guys, I NEED book recommendations!!! I’m desperately tying to drag myself out of the safe little Stephen King and running related book hole that I currently reside it, but it’s not going well. Last Friday Luke and I went to Barne’s and Noble, spent over an hour there, and I eventually settled on one book which I’m super disappointed with. It sounded really cool, but I’m really having trouble getting into the story. Plus some of the things that are going on just seem super unbelievable to me. And I mean, Stephen King made me feel like a weird clown/alien thing really did reside in the sewers under Derry, Maine. So I kind feel like I’m not the problem here…

Haha Luke told me that my problem is that I got introduced to a really good author at a young age (I started reading Stephen King novels in 7th grade), have been very dedicated to that author, and now nothing else is going to live up to my expectations. I am very determined to prove him wrong though! So seriously, whats your favorite book? Or what are you currently reading? I wanna know!!

Alrighty then! I feel like I’ve rambled on enough for today, so I’m going to stop before I get even more out of control. 😉

Happy Friday/St. Patrick’s Day eve, everyone! Stay safe out there and have fun with any festivities that you planned! 🍀

My Weekend In Colorado

I know I’ve already talked a little bit about my adventures in Colorado over the weekend with my family (here, here, and here 😉 ), but they were kinda short, sweet, and to the point, since I was so busy and pretty exhausted at the end of everyday. So I thought I’d take some time today to write down in detail what went down while I was there. 🙂

So this whole thing kinda started a week or so before the actual trip. My mom texted me, telling me that my brother and his friend would be stopping at my house on the 16th of February, because they were going to her apartment in Colorado. Obviously I told her that was fine. The next day she texted me again, asking me if maybe I could come with them. At the time I wasn’t sure if I could, since Luke and I had plans to start working on the garden over the weekend. So I told her maybe next time.

Over the next few days Luke spent a lot of time telling me that I should go visit my family and that he was capable of taking care of himself for a few days. So on Thursday before my brother and his friend started their drive from Illinois to Kansas, I asked if they minded if I hitched a ride with them, but not to tell our mom or dad. They said they didn’t care and that they wouldn’t, so I started getting everything ready for our trip.

They got to my house at around 7 pm on Thursday. We kinda hung out for a while and watched some YouTube series that they like, while Luke and his brother went to play pool for a little bit. When they got home from the bar they challenged us to darts. I already knew I was pretty good at darts, but we learned that my brother is also a natural dart player. It must run in the family haha. So I played/watched a few games, then went to bed around 11 pm, warning my brother and his friend that I’d be waking them up around 7 in the morning.

Unfortunately my plan to go to bed at a decent time didn’t exactly work out well. I ended up laying in bed unable to fall asleep until around 12:30. Apparently the boys didn’t get to bed until 1:30, but we were all up and moving at 7 am., then on the road by around 7:20. 🙂

The drive from my house in Kansas to my parents’ apartment in Colorado is about 10 hours long (including stops for gas/snacks/bathroom breaks). Oh man, that is a brutal car ride! Especially since western Kansas/eastern Colorado isn’t exactly the most exciting place, as far as landscapes go. I am super impressed with my brother though! He drove the whole way there! Which probably sucked, because we were riding in my mom’s car, and it’s not exactly the most comfortable car to drive for long periods of time. Once I had to drive it for 4 hours and my hips started to hurt, my feet were falling asleep, and I basically wanted to die haha. But my brother did it for 10 hours without complaining once! Maybe it’s because he’s 18 and stubborn haha. 😉

Luckily my brother and his friend are pretty cool, so we spent a lot of time joking around and showing each other amusing memes and other funny stuff from the internet. I also spent some time texting both of my sisters. Mostly to tell them not to tell my mom and dad that I was coming with my brother and his friend, but I was also making plans to visit my sister who lives about 2 hours away from my parents.  But unfortunately on a 10 hour car ride there is still a lot of quite time, and some of the miles just drug on and on and on…

img_1628

We finally made it to my mom and dad’s apartment around 4 pm (I think, I don’t remember exactly) Colorado time. While we were walking up the stairs of the apartment building I told the boys to be really quite and show me which apartment was my mom and dads, because they still had no clue that I was coming. After the pointed me to the right door, I started knocking in the most obnoxious way ever. My mom answered the door looking super duper confused, because my brother and his friend would have just walked in, and she wasn’t expecting anyone else. But once she realized it was me, she literally screamed and started hugging me. Their dog was also super excited to see me, which was kinda weird because he really hasn’t spent any significant amount of time with me, but whatever, I’d rather a 130 pound dog be excited to see me instead of being mad that I was in his territory haha.

img_1652

Anyway, once all of the excitement died down we kinda sorta started making plans on what we were going to do the next day, since my brother and I both wanted to leave on Sunday. Then my dad had to go to work, and my mom took us out for dinner and some shopping. Not gonna lie, I wasn’t all too excited to be out and about in the busy city that they live in, but I guess it wasn’t that bad. 😉 The restaurant that we ate dinner at was really good! My dad told me I needed to get some kind of Irish burger that they had (I don’t remember what he called it) but after eating a bunch of junk food in the car all day I was really craving some veggies, so I got a Greek salad instead.

img_1655

After we ate, we went to a really awesome used book store! My mom bought me two Stephen King books for $4. How freaking neat is that?! Then my mom wanted to show me this candy shop she really likes. We sent a little bit of time wandering around because she couldn’t remember exactly where it was, but we eventually found it. The candy shop was pretty exciting! They had all sorts of novelty gifts and fun gummies. My mom got me a gummy pig! Not gonna lie, it wasn’t the best gummy I’ve ever had, but it was cute. 🙂

After our shopping adventure we headed back to the apartment. My mom and I went to walk around the trail that is near their apartment, while my brother and his friend played video games. They sure missed out on a really beautiful evening! The trail went around a lake and you could see the mountains in the distance. That was much more my style! We didn’t make it all the way around the lake because Niko was getting tired and crabby (I’m not kidding, that dog gets tired fast!), but it was still a nice little walk. And I’m not gonna lie, I’m kinda glad we didn’t go the full 3.5 miles around the lake. At that point the elevation change was really starting to kick my ass!

After our walk I took a quick shower, then went grocery shopping with my mom. First we went to a farm and home supply store for dog food (I can’t for the life of me remember the name on it) while we were there she noticed the holes in my leggings so she found and bought me a new pair. Haha she’s just awesome like that. Then we went to walmart to get food for the next day, and some other random stuff that she needed. It seems like every time I’m with my mom we somehow end up going to walmart…Whatever. After that my mom and I painted for a little bit while my brother’s friend showed us some more memes, then we finally went to bed! I guess Niko was still super excited that I was there, so he kept licking my face to wake me up. At around 2 am I took him outside, but he didn’t want to pee, he just wanted to hang out outside…So I had to drag his 130 pound ass up the stairs and back inside. He finally left me alone after that, but it really sucked that I didn’t get much sleep that night. Especially since my dad woke me up at 6:45 on Saturday morning.

Waking up that early after a really bad night of sleep really sucked, but in the end it was totally worth it! My dad ended up taking me and my brother’s friend to hike up Rabbit Mountain. It took us about 2 and a half hours to climb to the very top (it was about a mile up and a mile down), but we stopped a lot to take pictures, admire the scenery, and take one short snack break. Plus we took Niko with us, and like I said before, he gets really tired really fast, so several times he had to sit down and take breaks haha. I didn’t mind though, the elevation was still bothering me a little bit, but not as much as it had the day before.

img_1724

I think hiking up Rabbit Mountain was my favorite part of the trip. It was so much fun! Plus I’ve been dying to see more of Colorado because it’s such a beautiful place, and I had never been to Rabbit Mountain before. I wish we could have done more hiking, but my dad was up working the whole night before, so he needed to get back home and sleep. (The rest of my photos from Rabbit Mountain are here, if you’re interested. 🙂 ).

By the time we got back to the apartment, my sister was waiting there with her 7 month old German Shepherded, Moose, and 3-year-old “Alaskan Husky”, Tidus (he’s part Husky and part Greyhound. Apparently people who are into dog sled races really like that combination of breeds. Oh and he’s actually from Alaska, which is neat). She and my mom thought I would really enjoy Estes Park, so they took me there while my dad slept and I’m not entirely sure what my brother and his friend did haha.

So, we didn’t really spend a lot of time there because all of the people were making Moose really nervous and he kept barking at everyone. But we did walk around for a little bit and I got to see the Stanley Hotel, which is where Stephen King wrote The Shining! That was really awesome! Some day I’d really like to stay there and explore a little more, but I’m really glad I got to see it. Even in the small amount of time that we spent there I could see where he got some ideas for The Shining, so that was pretty neat. 🙂

img_1762

Before we left my mom and I got lunch at a little diner type thing. They had a mac and cheese sandwich on the menu, so obviously I had to try that! It was sooooo good!!! Best food decision I’ve ever made. 😉

img_1774

After we got our food we drove back to my mom and dad’s apartment, walked Niko, Tidus, and Moose around for a little bit, then I went home with my sister. Her house is two hours away from my mom and dad’s and we had to drive through Denver to get there, but it actually wasn’t too bad of a drive. She was worried about traffic going through Denver, but it really never got too bad.

My sister’s husband is in the army (and was just recently deployed to Poland) so they live on a military base. They actually lived in Alaska for 3 years before moving to Colorado last year, so I was super excited to see my sister’s house, since I never had a chance to visit her in Alaska. Plus it was kind interesting to get a little peek into how the military and their families live.

Anyway, after we got to her house we let her dogs out, ate a quick snack, then went to walmart because she needed to get some groceries. Haha I don’t know what it is about my family, but it seems like every time any of us get together, we end up at a walmart…After she got what she needed we hung out and her house for a while, just catching up and watching Futurama. Later in the evening she wanted to get some Sushi, so we went to King Super to get some. Unfortunately I can’t eat fish anymore, so I got some Halo Top ice cream instead. 😉 After that we spent the rest of the night just hanging out and playing with her dogs. It was nice.

So staying at her house was a great decision! All of her pets are really well-behaved and quite, so they actually let me sleep that night haha. And the next morning when she let her dogs out of her bedroom, Moose saw me sitting on the couch and jumped right up into my lap. Apparently he really likes me.

16830639_10210614478151890_2699374962748869676_n

Me, Moose, and Tidus.

So like I mentioned before, my brother and I wanted to leave on Sunday, but my dad was off work and he wanted to take me to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo the feed the giraffes. So since that’s super close to my sister’s house, they drove there, and then my sister drove us all to the zoo.

The first thing we did was feed the giraffes like my dad wanted to. I gotta admit, that was really neat! No zoo that I’ve been to have anything like that (although the Kansas City zoo is supposedly going to build something similar in the next 5 ish years).

When we were done making friends with the giraffes we walked around for a while, just looking at all the animals. Then we went back to the car, made some sandwiches with the food that we’d brought, then went back into the zoo and saw everything else that we wanted to see. Most importantly; the tiger because they are my sister’s favorite, the elephants because they’re neat, and the wolves because my dad and I both think they are really awesome! Plus no other zoo I’ve been too has wolves, but unfortunately they weren’t out when we went to them. Apparently the female was in heat so they were being very elusive. Ah well, it was still a fun adventure!

We got back to my sister’s house from the zoo around 3 pm. I grabbed all my stuff from her house, said goodbye, then my mom, dad, and I drove 2 hours back to their apartment. Once we got their I showered, ate dinner, packed all of my stuff into my mom’s car, and tried to take a quick nap, because my brother wanted to leave at midnight. The whole napping thing was unsuccessful, so I ended up watching a movie with my mom and dad. After the movie my dad went to bed for the night and my mom went with him to try to nap before we left. So I was left in the living room with Niko.

We just kinda hung out for a while, until he started barking out the open sliding glass door at a dog that was being walked downstairs. I guess that woke my brother up, because not long after that he and his friend packed their stuff into the car, then went to get gas. A few minutes later my mom got up and started making food for the trip, so that we wouldn’t have to buy any. 10 minutes later my brother and his friend were back, so we packed up the car, my dad got up to tell us all goodbye, and then we were on the road by 11:30 pm.

The ride back to Kansas was a little bit better than the ride there. Probably because I tried to sleep for a good majority of it. I never actually fell into a deep sleep though, and I got up about every hour, but I can’t even complain about that, because yet again, my brother drove the whole time. Around the time we had two hours left in the car the sun was up and everyone in the car was awake for good. Luckily those last two hours seemed to fly by and before I knew it we were pulling into my drive way.

The original plan was for my mom, brother, and his friend to stay and nap at my house for a while, but after I had made my brother lunch he wanted to get back on the road again and finish the last 4 hours of the drive they had, so that’s what they did. 4 hours after they left I got a text from my mom saying they had made it home. I don’t know how my brother drove 14 hours on a very small amount of sleep, but he did it! And with no “close calls” or “almost accidents” either. I am very much impressed.

There! I feel like that’s a much better summary of what went down in Colorado, compared to the other super short posts that I wrote about it while I was actually there. I am officially satisfied and I hope I didn’t bore you too much. Haha this post ended up being a lot longer than I thought it was going to be!

Until next time!

Friday Fives: Books

Today’s Friday Fives is a bit different. Instead of five of my favorite books, these are the five books I’ve read most recently and my thoughts on them. I guess there may end up being some spoilers in this post, so reader beware!

1. Wizard And Glass

By now you probably know that I’m a huge fan of Stephen King (and you may also recal me mentioning that I’m re-reading the Dark Tower series). I think the Dark Tower series is my favorite works by him. It’s a little bit of horror, a little  bit of si-fi, and a little bit of a fantasy, all mixed with a western. I suppose that’s a bit of a strange combination, but I think that’s why I like it so much.

Wizard And Glass is the 4th book of the series and it’s also my favorite. This book starts off where The Wastelands left off, but eventually turns into Roland, the book’s main character, telling the tale of the very first “mission” he and his first set of  friends went on. It also tells the tale of his first and only love and the tragic loss of said love. It’s actually quite morbid and totally heartbreaking, but what more do you expect from the King of Horror? 😉

After telling his tale, Roland and his new set of friends continue on their quest to find and save the Dark Tower, perfectly sandwiching a completely different and somewhat unrelated story into the main story line. I think the way Stephen Kind accomplished that was brilliant and I absolutely loved it!

2. Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

I was really disappointed with this book.

I’m not going to lie, going into it, all I knew was that it was a “new Harry Potter book”. I didn’t know it was just a script to a play, but I was willing to give it a chance. I also didn’t know it wasn’t JK Rowling who wrote it. I’m not sure what all she contributed, but it doesn’t seem like much (but again, I haven’t done any research on it.)

The whole Albus and Scorpius friendship seemed super forced and actually, none of the characters seemed very authentic. Harry, Ron, and Hermione didn’t feel like themselves,  which made me super sad. Plus it didn’t even feel like being back at Hogwarts, you know?

I also feel like everything moved to fast. Don’t get me wrong, I get that this is a single book (or play I guess) and not a series of 7 books, but still, I feel like I missed out on a lot of details. Which kinda goes back to the whole not feeling like being back at Hogwarts thing…Honestly the whole thing read like a bad fan fic (which I’ve seen is a pretty common opinion).

I don’t know, I really wanted to like this book and maybe it works better on stage, but man was it a huge let down…

3. Of Mice and Men

S0, I haven’t read this book since I was in like, 6th grade. I totally forgot just how depressing it is. I mean, I knew the ending was super sad, but the whole goddamn book is just full of death and failed dreams. But if I recall correctly, this is a depression ere book, so that makes sense. It’s sill a good read though!

4. The Wind Through The Keyhole

Another Stephen King book made the list! Yay! 😉

This book is also part of the Dark Tower series, although it was written 8 years (I think) after the very last book in the series was written. So, it doesn’t really have any bearing on the actual story line, but it’s still super interesting!

It gets kinda inception-y though. Basically, It’s Roland telling his friends a story of himself telling a story to a kid who he and one of his old friends was helping. That sounds a lot more confusing than it actually is. Stephen King is really good at writing stories into other stories.

The first time I read this book I hadn’t read anything else from the Dark Tower series, so there were a few things I didn’t quite understand, but I was still able to follow along and enjoy the story. So maybe if you don’t want to fully commit yourself to a relatively long 7 book series (8 if you count this one) until you know what you’re getting into, I’d suggest you start with this book to get a feel for the whole thing.

5. The Little Red Book of Running

This is probably one of my favorite running books, just because it’s so freaking handy! It’s not super detailed about anything but it’s full of helpful little nuggets of information and is a super easy read, which is nice. 🙂

Friday Fives: 5 Things I’m Currently Super Into

1. Pokemon Go

I’m super obsessed with this app. I mean, it’s basically made all of my childhood dreams come true. I get to venture out into the world on my very own Pokemon adventure. Collecting them and battling gyms as I go. It’s pretty awesome!

img_7587

2. Coffee

Once upon a time, I was addicted to caffeine (that was waaay back when I was in high school). I got my caffeine fix from sodas and energy drinks and gross stuff like that. But I broke that habit in 2012.

I think I’m hooked on it again though. With all this waking up early that running requires I’ve been heavily relying on coffee to get me going. Add some soy milk and honey. Perfect! 🙂

Haha at least coffee is better than soda.

3. Death of a Bachelor

I am absolutely in love with every song on this album! I’ve always liked Panic! At the Disco, but I’ve never been this super into them until now.

img_7589

4. Blueberries

YAY BLUEBERRY SEASON!!! 💙💙💙

Processed with Rookie Cam
5. Avatar: The Legened of Korra

I’m just now getting around to watching this. I LOVED the first Avatar series so I figured I needed to watch this one too. So far, this one is a lot more heart wrenching than the first one, and I love it!

Cinco De Mayo, 2016

Coffee + Stephen King + Breakfast = The Best Way to Start the Day

Happy Cinco de Mayo! hope your week has been good so far!!

My week has been steadily improving! As you may know, last Thursday I had a nasty fall in the shower and ended up hurting my ribs pretty bad. To the point where just breathing hurt. But I’ve been improving a little bit every day! Yesterday I was able to get in a short, easy run, and today I managed to go a little bit further!! 😄

Today’s run was also MUCH better. I ran without the aid of ibuprofen and I still felt much less akward. I was also able to take deeper breaths, although that still kinda hurts, and by the time I got home my whole left side hurt and felt really tight. But laying on the floor and taking slow deep breaths helped loosen that all back up. And I’m thinking I need to take some ibuprofen now, just to be on the safe side.

Luckily, I have a really high pain tolerance, so running while in pain doesn’t make me absolutely miserable (actually quite the opposit, but I feel like most runners are a little bit masochistic like that). Not so luckily, I have a really high pain tolerance, so sometimes it’s kinda hard for me to tell when I should back off and take things a little bit easier. That was quite evident today when I decided to throw in two random pickups (one being up hill) for no good reason. Hahaha it just felt SO GOOD to get my legs moving a little bit faster, even if my ribs did hurt a little bit.

At this point I’m super optimistic about my 5k next weekend. Obviously I so t be aiming for a PR like I wanted to before I got hurt. I’m thinking I’ll defitely be and to finish though, even if I do have to take it slow. But it’ll still be lots of fun and I’m super stoked for it!!

Wishing you a very good day!
