Weekly Recap: June 10th-16th, 2019

Well I’ve sure had an interesting week when it comes to running! Some good, some well, not so good but funny now to look back on. πŸ˜‚ Although I am still feeling one of my running incidents from this week. But we’ll get there in a minute. πŸ˜‰

It was an interesting week and an all around good week as far as training goes! I got in all of the mileage that I wanted to get done, I’ve been (mostly) sticking with the Blogilates Summer Sculpt Challenge, and I even got a few speedier workouts done! 😁

So, let’s get this weird week recapped!

Monday:

  • 3 miles
  • Blogilates Summer Sculpt

So we somehow got INCREDIBLY lucky when it comes to weather! At least I sure think so! πŸ˜‰ On Monday morning it was a glorious 53 degrees when I started my run! It was FANTASTIC!

It was still a little humid, but honestly I can’t really complain about that. Last June it was already crazy hot so 53 degrees this time of year almost felt unheard of. It was great and I enjoyed every second of it. 😊

Tuesday:

  • 2 miles
  • Blogilates Summer Sculpt

I’m not entirely sure what to call Tuesday’s run. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚ It wasn’t really a specific workout but it was definitely a harder effort. And that harder effort felt pretty darn great because we had another cooler morning. πŸ˜‰

Followed my run with the Blogilates Summer Sculpt challenge, of course! As you can see, Bubbles has been joining me for these Pilates sessions. I have a sneaking suspicion that she’s not working as hard as I am though. 😹

Wednesday:

  • 5 miles
  • Blogilates Summer Sculpt

Wednesday was when things really started getting interesting!

So if you’ve been following along with me for a while then you probably know that I like to run through my town’s cemetery. It’s just so calm and peaceful there. But one downside is that I live in a super small town so the cemetery is also super small. I think the road that goes through it is close to a quarter of a mile all the way around? Something like that. But on the bright side, there is RARELY anyone else there. That’s one of the reasons I love run to through there.

But on Wednesday I accidentally stumbled upon a funeral. Oops!! I had to nope the fuck out of there real quick! Luckily they were just setting stuff up at that point, so I don’t think I actually ended up bothering anyone. Except for the dump truck driver who was coming in as I was going out. He had PLENTY of room on that road but he wouldn’t budge out of the middle of the road and therefore forced me onto the grass and over someone’s grave. Running over someone’s grave feels a little bit wrong, but it was that or need a grave of my own so πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Anyway, I’m glad I didn’t disturb any mourners. I feel like running through a funeral would be super rude. Hence why I got out of there ASAP. Hahaha the rest of my run was a lot less eventful and honestly that was for the best! πŸ˜‚ 5 more miles in the bank!!

Thursday:

  • Rest day

Thursday was supposed to be a cross training day but whatever. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚ I ended up doing some serious Pokemon Go-ing instead (by walking my dogs around the neighborhood πŸ˜‰). Then I hung out with all of my puppies in the backyard for a while.

That afternoon Luke and his brothers went golfing so I had to babysit my brother-in-laws kids. It’s not that I don’t like his kids or anything, but I would have rather gone golfing. πŸ˜‚ But they wanted to do a brother thing or whatever, so it’s all good. Haha I got to golf on Friday anyway.

Friday:

  • 6 miles
  • 17 holes of golf

On Friday I fell.

About .2 miles into my run. 🀣

Honestly, the fact that I fell isn’t super surprising. I am a HUGE klutz. I’ve injured myself in a lot weirder ways than tripping over a pothole while on the run.

What’s really surprising is that it took me this long to do it! I’ve never actually fallen while on a run before! The roads in my town are pretty shitty, but I’m usually really good at navigating my way around them. Not today though. I caught my foot in a particularly bad pothole while making sure I wasn’t going to get hit by a car coming from the cross street and then I went down! Lol not too bad though. All I did was scrape my knees. And luckily the endorphins from running finally kicked in at around 3 miles so they only really hurt for half of the run.

And this, my friends, is why my husband won’t let me use ladders. Or mow the lawn. And has seriously questioned whether or not I should have access to sharp objects. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Honestly though it could have been a lot worse so obviously I’m glad it wasn’t!

After I finished my run I ate a snack, took a shower, tended to my wounds, and then Luke called to tell me that he had an interesting day at work, that he left early, and that we were going golfing. So we did. πŸ˜‚

But only after we went to the sprint store. He wanted to get his brother a phone since he is starting college after this summer and Sprint had a bit one get one free iPhone deal going on. So my phone got upgraded from an iPhone 8 to a Xr and my brother-in-law got iOS first real phone! Fun stuff! πŸ˜„

Hahaha Friday was definitely an eventful day!

Saturday:

  • 6 miles
  • Blogilates Summer Sculpt

On Saturday I found a turtle friend!! 🐒

But turtle friend was in the middle of the road, so it got moved to the grass so that it wouldn’t get run over by a car. Some people will go out of the way to run over turtles/snakes/frogs and that just makes me so mad. Like, what’s the point?!?😑

But anyway, I hope this one made it to wherever it was going. It was gone by the time I started my second lap of the neighborhood, so I like to think that it did. 😊

So yeah. 6 more miles in the leg bank and the official end to me very interesting week of running. πŸ˜‚

Sunday:

  • rest day

A well earned rest day at that! I KILLED it this week! πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜Š

Hit my mileage goal, mostly stuck to the Blogilates Summer Sculpt Challenge (but obviously shit happens and running is more important, so some days things get switched around or just not done at all. But I’m still doing it and that’s all that matters .πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ), had a few very interesting runs; I almost crashed a funereal and I took a tumble. But all in all, it was a great week!

So, today was super chill! I dyed my hair, did a bunch of reading, and I plan on doing some nice stretching this evening!

Total Weekly Mileage: 22

I hope you had a great week!

Weekly Recap: June 3rd-9th, 2019

So I’ve been following Blogilates for quite some time now. She was actually one of the first fitness YouTube channels I started watching and following along with back in 2012 when I stared losing weight and getting fit. I never participated in any of the challenges that she has done though. I just kinda used her videos and did my own thing with them.

But I’ve kinda fallen off from doing them, or any kind of strength training really. Which definitely isn’t good! It’s just that running is so much fun and I don’t want to do anything else! πŸ˜‚ But this June she’s putting on a 28 Day Summer Sculpt Challenge and I’ve decided to actually follow along with it! I’m hoping that it will kick my butt into gear and keep me motivated to get some strength work done! We’ll see how that goes. But as of right now, I’m pretty motivated to get it done! πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ˜‰

Monday:

  • 3 miles
  • Day 1 of Blogilates 28 Day Summer Sculpt Challenge

3 more miles added to the ol’ leg bank! Nothing fancy. Nothing fun. Just went out there and got it done! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Followed that with day of of the Summer Sculpt Challenge. This one was a full body workout and it was tough! It was really good though! 😊

Also, more of my lilies are blooming and I love it!!

Tuesday:

  • 2 miles on the treadmill
  • Day 2 of Blogilates Summer Sculpt Challenge

Holy moly I woke up sore on Tuesday! Especially in my triceps. That was definitely a testament to how little strength work I’ve done lately. πŸ˜‚ It was nothing a few easy miles on the treadmill couldn’t work out though, so that was good!

Tuesday are dedicated to legs and butt for this challenge and the video was HARD. But it was also a ton of fun! I really enjoyed this one! πŸ˜„

2 days down, 26 more to go! πŸ˜‚

Wednesday:

  • 3 miles
  • Day 3 of Blogilates Summer Sculpt Challenge

Was up bright and early on Wednesday morning! I like to get out the door before the sun is up and has heated up the asphalt adding just another layer of misery to to activity that is summer running. πŸ₯΅πŸ€£

Anyway, after my run I finished day 3 of the Summer Sculpt Challenge and then did a bunch of work in my garden. It was a productive day! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜„

  • Thursday:
    • 9 holes of golf

Hahaha so I actually intended for Thursday to be a rest day. I was sore AF and just felt like I wasn’t recovering at all from the Summer Sculpt Challenge. There in lies the problem with working out every single day, I suppose.

But when my husband got home from work and he wanted to play a quick 9 holes of golf. I was feeling better by that afternoon, so I figured why not! πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Plus after moving around a little bit on the golf course I started to feel a little bit better. πŸ˜„

    Friday:

    • 17 holes of golf

On Friday Luke got me my own set of golf clubs! Yay!!

Hahaha before I was just using his and they were not working for me. Men’s clubs are a little bit longer and heavier than women’s clubs so I wasn’t able to actually swing properly with his. Hence why he got me my own! πŸŒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

So obviously we had to go golfing on Friday. πŸ˜‚ This time we had a group of 4 that included me, Luke, his brother from Minnesota who is currently staying with us, and his other brother who lives here in Kansas. So having 4 people slowed us down considerably! We were out on the course for what felt like FOREVER! It was fun at first, but it was hot, humid, and exhausting. Which is why we ended up skipping that last hole. 🀣🀣

I did play a lot better with my new clubs though, so there’s that! Honestly though all this golfing is probably going to have to slow down for me soon though! Training for Operation Two Half Marathons In Two Days: Take Two starts soon and I want to actually be able to do that. Golfing in the heat just took waaaay too much out of me.

Lol yeah, I sure look like I should be lined up at the starting line of a half marathon, not on a golf course. πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

    Saturday:

    • 3.5 miles
    • Blogilates Summer Sculpt Challenge

A failed attempt at a long run… Obviously I wasn’t happy about that. But for real, I was crazy tired and drained from being out in the heat and humidity for so long the day before. It wasn’t good….

So after my run I made sure I spent the day rehydrating, and apparently my body really needed refueled because I was STARVING all day. So I just kinda rolled with it and tried to give my body what it needed. Luckily the Summer Sculpt Challenge video was just stretching on Saturday. I sure needed that too. But apparently mostly I just needed to sleep!

    Sunday:

    • Rest day

After my failed long run yesterday I seriously considered trying to get some more miles in today. I had my gear all laid out and an alarm set, but when it came time to actually wake up I turned off my alarm and went right back to sleep. I ended up sleeping for about 9 and 1/2 hours and honestly it was great! I felt sooo much better after that!

I actually kinda wanted to run this afternoon, but I figured if I wanted to run today but didn’t, I’d probably feel even better and want to run even more tomorrow. Hahaha but I guess we’ll have to wait and see about that though. I did spend a good amount of time walking dogs today though. πŸ˜„

    Total Weekly Mileage: 11.51

Yeah, obviously this week didn’t go as planned. πŸ˜‚ But it wasn’t bad either! Honestly if I would have gotten my long run in I’d be a lot happier, but I am working on becoming a stronger athlete and learning a new sport, so I’ll take it!! πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸŒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

    Happy Sunday!

    Weekly Recap: August 21st-27th, 2017

    Monday:Β

    • 1.8 miles

The weather was insane on Monday!! Haha I woke up to a rainbow but no rain (at that point), then a whole bunch of rain while it was still kinda sunny out, then the sun came and it stopped raining, which is when I went out for my run. But a crazy thunderstorm with some pretty intense lighting developed right on top of me so I high tailed it home before I even hit two miles haha. Oh well, my knee/leg still hurt so a super short run was probably a good thing. Oh and lets not forget that the Great American Eclipse happened Monday afternoon. That was pretty awesome. πŸ™‚

    Tuesday:

    • Intervals
    • 25 minutes of blogilates
    • 20 minutes on my stationary bike
    • 10 minutes of foam rolling

Haha I didn’t really realize how much I did on Tuesday until I typed it all out. Started my day with a mile warm up followed by two miles of interval work. My leg hurt for the first few minutes but it eventually worked itself out for the most part. Haha I probably should have taken it easy, but I really wanted to go a little bit harder. Oh well, for the most part my leg felt alright. After my run I did some blogilates, then in the evening I spent some time on my stationary bike then foam rolled a bit. I really need to make that more of a habit. I don’t do it nearly enough…

    Processed with Rookie Cam

    Wednesday:Β

    • rest day

My leg was actually feeling pretty good on Wednesday, but after all the work I put in the day before I didn’t want to push it too far, so I skipped my easy run and walked the dogs did some yoga and iced my knee instead. Haha that was probably a good idea anyway, I was pretty darn tired on Wednesday, so I probably needed the day off from running. πŸ™‚

    Thursday:

    • 1 easy mile

Probably maybe should have taken another rest day and given my leg as much rest as possible, but I needed to do something so I did haha.

    Processed with Rookie Cam

    Friday:

    • Intervals

Did a mile warm up followed by 3 miles of intervals. And some of those intervals were pretty hard too! At least until it really warmed up outside haha. I’m a huge wimp in the heat… Anyways, this run was simultaneously one of the most fun/most awful runs I’ve ever experienced. Running is the only thing I’ve ever done where I can experience that kind of feeling. πŸ˜‰

So according to my fancy Fenix 5, I improved both my VO2 max and my anaerobic fitness. I sure hope that’s actually accurate! I suppose we’ll find out at the end of this training cycle though. Oh man after I got done with this run I was crazy tired and got absolutely nothing done for the rest of the day haha.

    Saturday:

    • Rest day
    • 10 minutes of stretching/foam rolling

Was supposed to do my log run on Saturday, but I had trouble falling asleep the night before and I knew it just wasn’t gonna happen. So I took a rest day, worked on hydrating, eating well, and I even did a little bit of stretching. πŸ™‚

    Sunday:

    • 9 miles

Oh man, I really didn’t think this run was gonna happen today. Yet again I didn’t sleep very well so I woke up late, and I seriously considered skipping my long run. Again…But obviously I came to my senses and got a run done! The plan was to do 10 miles, but I honestly didn’t even think I was going to make it to 5, so I’m still pretty darn proud of what I accomplished even though I was a mile short. πŸ˜‰ My run was fueled by Honey Stinger, punk rock (I listened to a lot of Rancid and Green Day haha), and pure stubbornness. Once I got out there I knew I had more than 5 miles in me and there was no way I could go 3 weeks in a row without a long run. Anyways, I even took an “ice bath” (I didn’t have any ice so it was just a super cold bath, it was still just has miserable though haha) afterwards. My legs always seem to recover faster after an ice bath, so I guess they are really worth the torture. πŸ˜‰ Anyways, at some point I’m gonna stretch and foam roll and hopefully me legs wont feel too bad tomorrow.

    Total Weekly Mileage: 18.93

Not bad!!Β After two not so great weeks I feel like I’m finally back into the swing of things! My knee seems to be getting batter! It held up very well on my long run and it seemed to get better the farther I went. πŸ™‚ So hopefully I’ll finally be done with that and that I’ll be able to stay healthy until November haha.

    Happy Sunday everyone!

Friday Fives: Favorite Fitness YouTube Channels

I don’t have a gym membership so when I first started getting into fitness and losing weight back in 2012, I did a lot of Jillian Michaels’ DVDs. I definitely got a lot stronger and fitter doing her workout routines, but I also got really really bored with them (which is actually how I started getting into running, but that’s a whole other story). That’s when YouTube became my saving grace when it comes to cross training. Believe it or not, you can get a really great workout done at home with nothing but a yoga mat and your own body!

You can probably tell that I really favor Pilates and yoga channels/workouts. That’s because they make me feel really good, I’ve yet to get bored with them (which is super important to me), and I can get a really great strength session done with just my body weight or maybe a few dumbbells which is super convenient!

So here are five of my all time favorite fitness YouTube channels!

    1. Blogilates

I’ve been following Cassey Ho through her blog and Pop Pilates videos since 2013, which is around the time she started getting really popular, I think. But there is a reason that that she’s so popular around the interwebz and that’s because her workouts are absolutely killer! She can make you hurt and absolutely want to die during a 10 minute workout, all while smiling and acting all peppy and basically cheering you on during the whole thing. It’s actually pretty great!

She’s also got plenty of beginner’s workouts that focus mainly on getting your form correct. Which I think is really awesome, because I think sometimes we all need a refresher on how to preform the moves correctly or if you’re just getting started it teaches you to do the moves in the most effective way and without the risk of getting injured.

She also has a really awesome video series called “Cheap Clean Easts”, so if you thing that eating healthy or clean can be really expensive or hard you might want to check out those videos

If you’re looking for a great way to get stronger and all around healthier at home I highly recommend checking out her YouTube channel. πŸ™‚

    2. Yoga With Adriene

I think Adriene is probably my most favorite yoga instructor on YouTube. Most of her videos are great for all levels of people, from very beginners to experienced yogis. I really really really love that she focuses mainly on “finding what feels good” in that moment for your body and mind. I feel like a lot of yoga videos on YouTube getting into the poses as perfectly as possible and Adriene doesn’t do that. She encourages you to get into the poses in a way that feels right for you and gives you plenty of different options to get there. She also talks a lot about all of the mental benefits that yoga can bring. She has videos for anxiety, stress, loneliness, and even broken hearts, along with videos for your abs, or flexibility, or whatever. I just think it’s great that she takes the time to remind you that yoga isn’t all about having rock hard abs, or being super flexible, or being able to get into crazy poses, but that it’s also not a bad thing to want things like that too. πŸ™‚

    3. 5 Parks Yoga

I’ve actually just started getting into 5 Parks Yoga, but so far from what I’ve done, I really enjoy this channel. They have some really awesome deep stretch and strength building videos that I really like! I also really like the fact that their videos tend to be longer than the usual 5-15 minute yoga video’s you tend to find on YouTube. 5 Parks Yoga’s tend to be anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, which is fantastic because you can get a full workout in without having to start another video. πŸ™‚

    4. Livestrong WomenΒ

Not gonna lie, I actually found the Livestrong Women channel because Cassy Ho did a few videos for them a while ago. Then I found out that Tara Stiles also did a video series for them. πŸ™‚

I really like this channel because it has a really wide variety of videos; There are challenges, Pilates based workouts, HIIT based workouts, recipes, demos on how to properly do exercise, etc. I find it to be very useful when I want to switch things up or try something new. πŸ™‚

    5. Tara Stiles

Tara Stiles has basically been my yoga idol ever since I’ve gotten into fitness. She focuses a lot on moving with gentleness, gracefulness, and ease. Three things that I am usually not, but hey, she gives me something to work towards. πŸ™‚

Now, I know I just said I like 5 Parks Yoga because their videos are a little bit longer, but I do appreciate the fact that most of the video’s on Tara Stiles YouTube channel are relatively short. If I’m just not feeling the whole yoga thing, I can do one of her 5 minute videos and that’s still better than nothing! Or if I’m crunched for time the shorter videos are a little easier to squeeze into my scheduled. Plus I like to mix and match her shorter videos. So I could do one of her 5 minute flexibility videos, followed by one for abs, followed by one for headstands, and so on and so forth. Being able to do that usually keeps me from getting bored. Sometimes I find it hard to make it all the way through a 30 minute yoga video, but it I mix and match like that, I can go for an hour and not get bored! πŸ™‚

Do you have any favorite fitness YouTubeΒ channels?Β

    Weekly Recap: May 1st-7th, 2017

    Monday:

    • Easy 3.5 miles
    • 25 minutes of blogilates

It was a cold and chilly day! Yay!! I kinda wanted to go for 4 miles on Monday, but I was feeling tired and was back at my house at 3.5 so I called it good. But I mean, close enough, right? πŸ˜‰

    img_3317

    Tuesday:

    • 10 minutes of blogilates

Tuesday was a cross train day! Haha I just barely did enough to qualify as a cross train day though. 10 short minutes of blogilates. But in all fairness, on her May workout calendar she had 2 lower body days in a row and that just wasn’t working for me haha. I probably should have spend some time on my stationary bike, but whatever.

    Wednesday:

    • Rest Day

So, on Wednesday I decided that I was going to give up caffeine so I skipped my morning cup of coffee. Bad idea. I ended up feeling exhausted and shitty all day…

    Thursday:

    • 3 mile run
    • 15 minutes of blogilates
    • 25 minutes on the stationary bike

I was feeling a little bit tired on Thursday, but I still got in a pretty solid workout! Now I’m realizing that I was probably starting to get sick that day, but oh well. I don’t think skipping my workout yesterday would have stopped that from happening. Luke’s sick, a bunch of people at his work are sick, it was only a matter of time before I ended up sick as well.

    img_3310

    Friday:

    • Rest Day

Yeah whatever illness that’s been going around finally caught up with me. I woke up with a sore throat and just feeling kinda bleh in general. I thought about running, but eventually decided that resting was probably a better idea. I ended up feeling kinda achy and started getting the chills later in the day, so taking a breaks was probably the right decision.

    Saturday:

    • Rest Day

Very glad I didn’t run on Friday. I woke up feeling absolutely horrible on Saturday. So I just continued to rest on Saturday. I tried to stay hydrated and watched Nike’s breaking 2 on YouTube, because I missed the live stream from the night before. That was some incredible stuff! If I didn’t feel so gross I would have been super inspired to run Haha.

    Sunday:

Oh man you guys, I don’t think I could have run today even if I wanted to. This cold is absolutely kicking my ass. I’ve been trying to stay hydrated, but it’s hard to do because I really don’t feel like drinking anything. That’s not helping the chest congestion I woke up with this morning. Ugh, it’s quite terrible and makes breathing harder. I can’t wait to get over this.

    Happy First Day Of May!!

Good morning and happy first day of the week AND month!! πŸ™‚

    img_3237

I always love when the first day of the month falls on a Monday! A new week and new month means a fresh start and all that motivational bullshit. Really I just like making new goals for myself and the first day of the week or month (or both in cases like today!) is a great time to do that!

So my goals for this week and month are pretty simple, but that just works better for me. Every time I try to come up with some elaborate plan for myself or just try to do too much at once I end up getting overwhelmed and quitting. So simple is definitely good for me! Anyway, this month I want to run 60 miles and follow the blogilates May workout calendar. That’s pretty simple. I ran 51.73 miles in may, so to hit 60 miles in May all I have to do is one or two more long runs. Easy enough. And it’s been a while since I’ve actually followed a Blogilates workout calendar but I’ve done it several times before, so I should be able to accomplish that as well. πŸ™‚

As far as this week goes, I’m just going to follow my training plan and I’M NOT GOING TO SKIP MY LONG RUN THIS WEEK!!!! Haha I feel like I’ve been skipping out on my long runs a lot lately, so I’m for sure going to run 8-10 miles on either Saturday or Sunday. It’s GOING to happen.

Skipping long runs is actually why my mileage in April was a little lower than I would have liked. I mean, 51.72 miles is by no means bad and I’m glad I went a little over 50 miles for the month, but I would have rather of hit 60-70 ish miles for the month. That’s why I’m specifically aiming for 60 miles for May. Knowing I have a specific goal to work towards usually motivates me to get shit done! πŸ˜‰

    img_3224

Anyways, that’s pretty much all I’ve got for this morning. Today is technically supposed to be my rest day, but it’s chilly and cloudy out this morning and I skipped my long run yesterday, so I’m thinking a nice 5 or 6 mile interval workout would be a lot of fun to do! Well maybe, that depends on how I feel when I get out there, but I’m definitely going to go run! πŸ™‚

    Happy May and Monday!!

    ~Ashley

    Weekly Recap: December 12th-18th, 2016

    Monday:

    • Easy 1 mile

Nothing fancy. Just keeping the streak going. πŸ™‚ Yeah, for some reason Winchester really wanted a taste of my coffee on Monday.

    img_0454

    Tuesday:

    • 4 Miles
    • 30 minutes of blogilates ab videos

Note to self; Don’t listen to a Rancid album on a run that’s supposed to be easy. Seriously. I had planned on doing 30 easy minutes, but the first two miles ended up becoming a fartlek, then I had to stop at home real fast to put on a second pair of pants because the wind was going right through my fleece tights and freezing my lady parts, then I did two more super easy miles. So yeah, it was a weird time, but lots of fun. πŸ™‚

    img_0463

    Wednesday:

    • Easy 5k
    • A few minutes of foam rolling in the evening

I’m loving the weather right now! Now we just need some snow. β„οΈβ›„οΈπŸ˜„

    Thursday:

    • Easy 1 mile

So, I finished off the last .3 miles of this run without any shoes, and it was amazing! I talk more about that here

    Friday:

    • Easy 2 miles
    • 15 minutes of stretching/foam rolling

Taking today’s photo made me realize how ridiculous tight my hamstrings are. So I made a point to stretch and foam roll. My legs were super happy after that. Oh and I ditched my shoes for the last .3 miles of this run. Fun! πŸ˜„

    Saturday:

    • 4 miles

First snowy run of the season! Yay!! If I would have waited a little longer, there would have been more snow on the ground. Oh well, it was still fun. πŸ˜„

    Sunday:

    • Easy 1 mile

🎢Oh the weather outside is frightful, but a run would be so delightful, since it’s Ashley’s favorite weather for running, let’s it snow let it snow let it snow🎢

lol I don’t think my version of this song is going to get very popular. πŸ˜‚ It seems to me like I’m one of the few people in the world who actually enjoys the cold. β„β›„οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Anyway, we aren’t supposed to get anymore snow in the near future, which sucks, but the cold is supposed to stick around! Today during my run it felt like -9! Fun!! Just did an easy mile to keep #rwrunstreak though, I kinda felt like any more may be pushing it a little.

    Total Weekly Mileage: 16.15

Slowly working my way back up to 20! Once I get back there I’m going to hold on there for a few weeks, then start making my way up to 25-30 miles a week. Ah, having a plan for things like this makes me feel awesome haha!
