Goals and PRs

I had some pretty crazy time goals set for myself for 2016. I didn’t end up meeting my mile or 5k goal, but I hit my 10k goal right on the head and absolutely crushed my half marathon time! I ended up running more than a minute per mile faster than I had done in my previous (which just so happened to be my first) half marathon. So that was pretty freaking sweet!

I really took some time thinking about what goals I wanted to set for myself in 2017. I finally decided that I want to focus more on upping my mileage than hitting certain times at certain distanced. So I had this crazy idea to try to run 1,000 miles this year. That’s kind of a big jump from last year. In 2017 I only managed to runΒ 567.03 miles. But I think as long as I can stay consistent and hit my weekly and monthly mileage goals I can at the very least get close to 1,000 miles. Although I am really going to aim to hit that number!

Goals for 2017:

  • Run 1,000 Miles
  • Stay consistent with strength training and stretching
  • Have lots of fun πŸ™‚

Current PR’s :

  • 1 mile: 9:51
  • 5k: 37:42
  • 10k:Β 1:19:09
  • Half Marathon: 2:52:42 ( hardcore exceeded my goal on 11/12/16 πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ )

  • 183.73 (as of 189.12 4//6/17)
