- RWRunStreak Day 5: 5k
Ugh! Why was it 60 degrees out on Monday?!?!? Actually, why has it been super crazy warm for most of November…It’s looking like this winter is shaping up to be another warm and dry one. Sad face. I’m not a fan…
But on the bright side! Monday’s run went pretty well! I felt great so I decided to do a nice little interval workout. Haha so this isn’t technically my 5k PR (I’m still suffering from new watch syndrome 😉 ), but hey, I’ll gladly take it!! 🙂
- RWRunStreak Day 6: 1 mile
So I may or may not have run this mile a little too fast. Especially since I decided to do interval work on Monday. Oops…This is exactly the kind of thing that got me into trouble last time I attempted this streak. I’ve really gotta learn to rein it in haha. But not much I can do about it now and I had a lot of fun, so at least there’s that.
Also, during this run I wore a blaze orange hat, olive green shirt, colorful, foliage print tights, blue shoes, and a bright yellow watch. I am really good at matching things. 😉
- RWRunStreak Day 7: 3 easy miles
Nothing too exciting on Wednesday. Ran down to a pasture to try to see some cows but they weren’t out that morning. Haha oh well. At least I got a couple of miles done. 🙂 I’ve kinda been slacking on everything that was not running so far this week. Oops…I need to get back to doing that.
- RWRunStreak Day 8: 1 mile
Another not so exciting day of streaking haha. Just did an easy mile to keep it going. 🙂 But my super neato Zensah holiday socks got here on Thursday and I legit waited for them to show up so I could wear them for this mile.
- RWRunStreak Day 9: 1 easy mile
Just another easy mile on Friday. My legs were feeling a bit tired so I figured I shouldn’t push it too much. Especially since I’m still kinda early into this streak. It’s all good though! I actually manged to run this one “easy” so I’m pretty proud of myself about that. 🙂
- RWRunStreak Day 10: 5miles
- 40 minutes of yoga
5 easy peasy miles! Not gonna lie, at this point my legs are pretty tired. But I suppose that’s pretty normal after running 10 days in a row, after taking a little break from running, after a big goal race. 😉 Haha I have a feeling that I’m going to end up being super duper tired in the days to come, but I think my body will adjust as long as I stick with it. I have a really bad habit of not sticking with the goals I set for myself and making excuses for not doing it. Like I’m too tired or my legs are too sore or whatever, and then I don’t end up meeting my goals or making any kind of progress. I’m not going to do that this time though. I am going to finish this freaking streak haha.

- Day one of Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred
Today’s run was brought to you by the Foxboro Hot Tubs, because I really didn’t want to run today. As predicted, I’m tired and my legs hurt. But like I said, I’m not giving up on this thing, so I turned on Stop Drop and Roll because I can’t listen to this album and not move, ya feel me? Got my run done, and then on a whim decided that I wanted to do Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred again. It’s a fun program and it’s been a while since I’ve done it so I figured, why not? Plus I really need to work on my strength so this should help! So basically I’m doing two challenges at a time because I’m crazy. 😉 I did feel less sore and tired after the workout though, so that’s good. 🙂 I’m sure I’ll be crazy sore tomorrow though haha.
Total Weekly Mileage: 15.13
So the plan for this month is to start building up my total weekly mileage and just build a much better base through out the winter. The streak should definitely help with that, since I’m going to be running at least a mile everyday. 🙂 I guess 15 miles is a good place to work up from. We’ll see how it actually goes, but right now I’d like to build up to 25-30 by the end of the month and then hopefully 50-60 by maybe February or March. I’m thinking that’ll be good for a nice slow build. I want to get stronger physically and mentally, and I can’t think of a better way to do that than building up my mileage. And a little bit of added strength work as well. 😉
