2 easy miles for me this morning!!
My training plan actually called for 45 minutes of easy running today, but I did something a little different. So I think I’ve mentioned before that this summer I’ve been making a point to get out and run a little later in the morning, so that the sun is up and it’s a bit warmer out. So that’s exactly what I did! I figure running in the heat will make me stronger physically and mentally. And I think it’s working, earlier in the summer I could only make it a mile before I would “have” to call it quits (I’m a huge wimp when it comes to the heat haha), but I made it 2 miles today, so, progress!! 😉
Anyway, so tomorrow is a rest day (yay! I’m pretty sore from weeding in the garden yesterday so I can only imagine it’ll be worse tomorrow haha) and I’m thinking maybe on Friday I’ll do my long run. Normally I’d do it on Saturday, but since the Green Day concert is Friday night that means I’ll be on my feet for quite a while on Friday and probably out late, so I feel like that wouldn’t end well for my long run. But if I do it on Friday morning after my rest day my legs should be pretty fresh! Plus if I get up and get it done early enough I should be able to shower, eat, nap, eat again, and then have plenty of time to get ready for the concert. Well, it sounds like a good plan to me anyway. 🙂
Speaking of Green Day; we’re down to 2 days!!! AHHHH I can’t wait!!! Luckily it’s seemed like this week has absolutely blown by, but I have a feeling tomorrow might drag on and on and on…I sure hope not, but I guess we shall see.
Anyways, that’s all I’ve got for today! I need to stop procrastinating and go do some yoga. I definitely need it today…
