- Rest day
Spent Sunday night/Monday morning riding in a car to Kansas from Colorado. Oh man, that car ride is brutally long! But the rest day was definitely welcome after all of the adventuring I did over the weekend.
- 2 easy miles
First run since last Thursday! I never got a chance to run in Colorado like I wanted to. Oh well, I still had a lot of fun! 🙂
So Tuesday’s run was a little weird. My cardio vascular system must really be enjoying being back at around 4,000 feet of elevation, as opposed to the 5,000-7,500 feet of elevation that I spent the weekend at. Plus my legs were super happy to get out and moving after spending 10 hours in a car on Monday. But I was really dehydrated and had a terrible headache. But still happy with the 2 miles I got done.
- 6 miles
- 20 minutes of yoga
- 5 minutes of foam rolling
1 mile warm up, 3 miles of intervals, and a 2 mile cool down, fueled by Honey Stinger! Oh man, I really had to work for this one! It was 60 degrees and sunny, so this wasn’t exactly a fun workout, but I got it done. 🙂
- Rest Day
- 55 minutes of restorative yoga
Some of the yoga I did on Wednesday involved planks. Yuck (but necessary I guess) so I woke up a little bit stiff everywhere. Good thing Thursday is usually my rest day! Did a nice long restorative yoga class from YouTube though. It was pretty freaking awesome!
- 5 miles
Friday was a cloudy/chilly day! My favorite! Unfortunately, I didn’t sleep well the night before so my body just wasn’t feeling the whole running thing. Still managed to get 5 miles done though. 🙂
- 8 miles
Did my long run in the morning, then on Saturday night me, Luke, his brother, and his brother’s girlfriend went out. First we went to a pool hall where I had a little too much beer, and had a very nice British lady try to teach me how to properly play pool. Haha I have absolutely no interest in learning how to play pool, but I commend her for trying! Then we went to Granite City Brewery where we got amazing bison burgers and some more beer. We were going to try to go bowling after that, but literally every bowling alley we went to had a line going out the door. Who knew bowling was that popular! Anyway, after trying a few bowling alleys we gave up and went home. Oh well, we all still had a lot of fun. 😀
- 2 easy miles
I really didn’t want to run this morning, but I did! I felt pretty good when I was done, so I’m glad I ended up doing it. 🙂
Total Weekly Mileage: 23.01
I’m officially making up for the last few weeks of super low running mileage! Between a sore quad one week, and a trip to Colorado the next, I was really starting to fall behind on my goal of running 1,000 miles this year. But now I’m starting to catch back up. 🙂
