Never miss a Monday? Ha! Screw that! I put in some pretty good work this weekend while being sick and I’m feeling it today (plus I don’t think I’m 100% better yet, as I’m still coughing up a little bit of gunk). So I slept in, watched a food documentary, cleaned up the house a little bit, ate a nice lunch, did a bit of reading, and now here I am. 🙂
Now I need to figure out my training plan for the week (which means I need to scheduled and then actual do strength workouts. At the moment I’m doing really well running wise, I think.), work on a few longer more exciting blog posts (gotta be prepared to post at least once a day this year, and so far I’m doing pretty well!!), do some yoga, walk the dogs, and do some more garden planning. Yesterday I planted some mint and I’m super excited to see how that does! I used some of my compost so I’m hoping it really thrives. Luke and I started composting for the first time ever around this time last year, and I guess I kinda see this as the ultimate test as to how well we’re doing with that. I’ve pretty much put every single kitchen scrap (besides meat, cooked food, and stuff like that) into the compost, so I haven’t been doing anything specific with it like some people do, but the way I see it, the more variety of fruit/vegetable scraps I put into the compost, the more nutrients that end up in my soil and in my plants.
Anyway, I know what I’m planting next month, now I just need to figure out where and how I want to grow it! I also need to turn my compost at some point, and till some of it into my garden plots. I’ve got a lot of work with my garden coming my way, and I’m really looking forward to it!So far I’m having a pretty great day and I hope you are too!
