31 Day Blog Challenge: First Celebrity Crush

Oh man, to be completely honest with you, I never went through the typical middle/high school celebrity crush thing. I mean, you’re talking to the girl who wouldn’t go out with a boy she liked in 8th grade because she thought she was too young to date…

I suppose some of you may find that really hard to believe, considering my absolute obsession with a little band called Green Day, but I never developed a crush on any of them. I think they’re all super awesome people and I’d probably die if I ever got to meet any of them (good thing that will probably never happen, I don’t think my family would appreciate me just dropping dead because I fangirl-ed a little too hard. 😉).

Actually now that I think about it, I don’t think any of my siblings went through a celebrity crush thing either. I don’t even think any of my friends did. Back in my grade school days, none of us really gave much thought to celebrities, we were all too busy doing our own thing. By the time I got to high school we were all dating/crushing on people we went to school with, so we didn’t have time for celebrity crushes haha.

I don’t know, maybe it was because I went to a Lutheran grade school/high school, maybe it was where I grew up, or that we were just all anomalies, but I honestly don’t remember anyone having a crush on a celebrity growing up.

Jeez, I’m being kinda boring with this whole challenge thing; “I don’t believe in guilty pleasures”, “I never had a celebrity crush”, “the meaning behind my blog name only requires one sentence”.

Ashley I totally get you on this one. I’ve never been one to crush on or obsess over celebrities either, however like you if I had ever got a chance to meet Prince I can’t tell you what would have happened. He was a musical genius.
