31 Day Blog Challenge: Old Photo of Me

I share new and old photos of me on here quite a bit, so how about one of me, my little brother, and our dad on a four wheeler? πŸ˜„

So I’m thinking this photo was taken in 2001? That would make me 9 and my brother 2, and that looks about right to me, so I’m just gonna go with it.

There are a few interesting things about this photo, but let’s just start out with how freaking long my hair used to be! Like holy crap, that’s a lot of hair… Haha my hair is actually getting kinda close to being that length again though! Back then it came down to pretty close to my butt, and right now it’s getting pretty close to my waist. I kinda like the way it looks when it’s super long, and everyone I know certainly does, but it gets super annoying sometimes. I kinda want to chop it all off again (haha I totally did too, like 5 years ago and I kinda miss having short hair, but that’s a whole other story for a different day).

Anyway, you’ve probably noticed the car seat on the back of the four wheeler. If I remember correctly, my dad put that in there for my brother, because he liked riding with him, but sometimes it got a little difficult holding him on the front, so an old car seat was the perfect solution. I’m pretty sure my sisters and I ended up using it more than my brother did though, even though we we’re too big for it hahaha.

You may have also noticed that my boots don’t have any laces. I had a very good reason for that! It was a lot easier to just pull on the boots and go, instead of having to loosen the laces, then re tighten and tie them. That just took too much time and I had places to go and things to see! πŸ˜‰

Oh man, I really miss that four wheeler. My sisters had been driving it basically since we were big enough to hang on without falling off (so like 5 or 6 years old?) and we used to get into a lot of trouble with it haha. One of us would hang on to the bars on the back, and then another one of us would drag them around. We never did that too fast, but we did pull each other way too fast on our sleds when it snowed. Good times. πŸ˜„
