Weekly Recap: November 21st-27th, 2016

Monday:

My workout on Monday consisted of me pulling our tomato cages out of the dead tomato plants. Hey, it was a lot of work! πŸ˜‚

Before and after

Tuesday:

That adds up to about 30 minutes, not bad! I definitely plan on sticking with a strength training routine. πŸ˜„

Wednesday:

  • Easy 30 minute run

Ended up in Illinois for Thanksgiving! That means Dean and I ran into my horse friends on our run. Over the summer they ran the fence line with me, but I guess Dean made them never nervous so they just watched us this time.

Thursday:

  • 5 miles
  • Blogilates belly bloat
  • Yoga with Adriene Holiday meal yoga

This was my longest run since my half marathon! Since it was Thanksgiving and technically the first day of the Runner’s World run streak (I started a day early, though), I figured I might as well go for 5 miles. Not gonna lie, this run was rough, but the baby horse wanted to be my friend on Thursday, so I’d say it was a win! πŸ΄πŸ˜„

Friday:

  • 1 mile

On Friday we drove back home, so I just did enough to keep my streak alive. I ran through my grandma’s cow pasture with my dogs and my sisters dog. Probably not the greatest idea, but it was a lot of fun!

Saturday:

  • 1 mile

Another bare minimum day. Luke and I were super busy on Saturday! We did some Christmas shopping, mailed some Christmas presents, went grocery shopping, picked up some more Christmas decorations, then hung our Christmas lights. Still got my mile in with my favorite running buddy, though. πŸ˜„

Sunday:

  • 3 miles

Felt kinda weird running on my usual rest day. I almost only did one mile for the streak, but I felt really good, so I ended up doing three. πŸ˜„

Toal Weekly Mileage: 12.57

Alrighty then, now that Thanksgiving is over, I really need to start working on my nutrition and portion control. I have about 20 pounds that I would like to lose, and I really haven’t been doing anything that will make that happen…I really need to focus on eating clean again. I used to be really good at that, but I kinda fell off that wagon a long time ago. But when Luke and I went grocery shopping on Saturday I got mostly clean foods, so that should make this venture a bit easier. At least I hope so.
