Half Marathon Training Day 101

I’m getting really excited!! I really wish the weather would cool off though. I’m actually a little bit worried about that. It was almost 70 degrees when I ran this morning and I didn’t feel all that great. I’m attributing part of that to the slump I’m slowly climbing out of, but I know for a fact the warmer weather didn’t help.

It’s looking like the high on race day is going to be in the mid to low 60’s and the low will be in the high 40’s. So it will probably end up being in the 50’s while I’m running. That’s not all that bad. The temps were in the 50’s last year too, but I signed up for a November race expecting it to be cold and now two years in a row now it hasn’t been. Sad face.

Yeah, so I just realized I’ve officially started obsessing over the weather. I’ve also got my race day outfit and breakfast planned. Oh man, us runners are definitely interesting people. πŸ™‚

Anyway, today’s run was nothing fancy, just an easy 5k. Like I said before, I didn’t feel so great, but I did it and I’m happy with that. Plus most of the trees are finally starting to turn pretty colors and that’s always worth getting outside for.
