Half Marathon Training Day 59

This morning I woke up to the sound of road work on my block, sore hamstrings, and the knowledge that I had to do long intervals, my very least favorite workout ever. So I kinda figured I was in for an interesting morning. 

As it turns out though, interesting wasn’t actually the right word. It was more like terrible…You know you’re in for a bad time when your 10 minute warm up feels like a lot of work even though you’re barely moving. I even walked a little bit in hopes that would help, but it did not. I made it 1.2 miles before I started getting a tad bit dizzy, so I just stopped and walked home. 

 The road work didn’t really cause me any issues because I didn’t make it long enough for it to be a problem. So I suppose that’s a good thing.

    Intervals… you either love ’em or hate ’em. Sorry it didn’t go so well. Mondays are my interval days and really my favorite runs of the week. Probably because it’s the only time I actually run fast. The PEAR app has a lot of interval options and it’s helpful, for me, to have someone talk me through it. Hang in there!

      Haha I like short intervals, but long I intervals are the worst (well, I think so)!! Sounds nifty! That’s probably more exciting than a watch beeping at you. That’s all I use for intervals lol. Thank you!! πŸ™‚
