It’s officially official! I’m registered for my second half marathon!! I guess I really need to get my ass in gear now, huh? 😉
I’m seriously super stoked (holy alliteration Batman!) though. I had a lot of fun at this race last year and I’m sure I will this year as well. I’m just hoping it’s colder this year haha! Last year it was in the 50’s, which wasn’t bad, but I prefer the cold. 😁
Sundays are usually my rest days and today was no different. I ran 4 miles with Dean yesterday though. That was a lot of fun, and it was the farthest I’ve managed to run since my toe got hurt. That was a little swollen afterward, but other than that it felt ok. My shin didn’t cause any issues either which is great!
Anyway, since I didn’t have to run today, Luke decided he wanted to make a bunch of stuff. We had to go to three different stores and ended up with a bunch of stuff we didn’t actually need, but apple cider, pumpkin spice Cheerios, and cookie flavored coffee creamer are all just too exciting to pass up on. 😉
Once we finally got home with the necessary ingredients, we started with making butter because we’ve never done that before and it seemed like fun. It actually ended up being a lot of work and hardcore messy, but we ended up with really tasty butter!
While the butter was in the blender (yeah you make it in the blender! Neat, right?!) we started on a bunch of jam. Now that’s what took up a majority of our time, but now we have a couple of jars of blueberry jam, and medium sized jars of strawberry and apple jam. It’s all super yummy and is going to go great with toast and oatmeal. Aaaand then we made chocolate chip muffins, because why not? 😉
That all took us from about 10 am to almost 5:30 pm, so it’s been a long day of cooking! Now that pretty much everything is put away and the dishes are in the dishwasher we’re going to spend the rest of the day playing DS and watching TV.
How was your Sunday? 🙂
