As predicted, getting out of bed this morning was terrible. It was one of those moments when I couldn’t decide if going back to bed and taking it easy for the rest of the day, or getting up and pushing through it was the better option.
In the end I got up and did my interval workout. I’m still it sure if that was the best decision though, as it was absolutely no fun. Especially since we’re under another heat advisory. Awesome.
The workout was a 10 minute warm up of easy running, followed by 3 minutes at threshold pace (which I didn’t pay attention to, I just ran at what felt like a slightly hard pace), 1.5 minutes of recovery (I walked), repeated 4 times.
I only did 2 minutes for the very last interval though. I was going uphill and wanted to die, so yeah. I stopped after 2 minutes and then walked home.
Anyway, after a not so great workout a super tasty breakfast is very much necessary. Bacon and eggs make everything better. 😉
Tomorrow I’m supposed to do an easy 40 minute run and Thursday is a rest day, but I’m thinking I’m going to switch the days around, as I’m feeling a bit worn down and a rest day sounds great right about now.
But as today is not a rest day, I’m off do do some stretching and ab workout!
