Yay! Two things I love to talk about; music and running! My favorite songs to run to are constantly changing, as I get really bored if I listen to the same things over and over again. But as of right now, these are five of my favorites.
1. Mother Mary by The Foxboro Hot Tubs
I fangirl a little bit every time this song comes on. Always. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you probably know that I’m a tad bit obsessed with Green Day (I literally have a piece of artwork from one of their albums permanently inked into my body) and this just so happens to be one of their side bands, so I guess it would make sense for me to be a huge fan of the Foxboro Hot Tubs.
Oh man this whole album is just too much fun, but Mother Mary is definitely my favorite song off of it. The music video is pretty exciting too. 😉
2. Baba O’Riley by The Who
So, I’m not gonna lie to you I’m pretty sure this is the only song I actually know by The Who. And I have no desire to even look into more of their stuff because they don’t exactly strike me as a band I would be able to really get into. All I know is that this song is great to run to.
3. Remedy by Seether
Ah Seether. They always bring back memories of high school. I guess because they were pretty popular then. Are the still really big? I haven’t really heard much about them lately, but it seems like rock and alternative music is really going by the wayside. Sad face…
Anyway, a lot of Seether songs are good for running. They are just the right amount of angry, angsty-ness to get me through tough runs.
4. Dammit by Blink 182
I’m not exactly a huge fan of Blink 182, but this is another song that’s just the right amount of angry angst, set to a really awesome beat.
5. Thunderstruck by AC/DC
All AC/DC songs are great for running! I mean, it’s fucking AC/DC!! How can they not get you super pumped?!
