Accidentally woke up late, so this run wasn’t all that fun…The sun was all the way up, I walked most of mile 3, and I was about 3 seconds away from drowning in my own sweat. Summer running sure is fun (read that sentence in THE MOST sarcastic voice you can think of). I did something new though! I listed to a whole album that was not in any way, shape, or form related to Green Day. Haha that doesn’t happen often.
- Easy 1 mile
I did not want to get up and work out on Tuesday. It was an easy day anyway, so instead of doing two miles I did one. I brought Dean with me since I wasn’t doing anything too crazy, and afterward he went directly to the pool and layed down. Haha he doesn’t like the summer either.
- 1 hour run
- Hip/arm work
Somehow managed to go the exact same distance and therefore pace as I did Monday, even though I walked more then. Whatever, I’ll still take less walking as a win.
Wednesday was my first 5 am wake up of the summer and at this rate, I don’t think I’m going to get to sleep in on running days until October. I’m pretty sure there’s a heat advisory for the rest of the week, so that’s great…
- Rest Day
I did a bit of headstand practice though! I’m actually getting a lot better! Now I just need to start moving away from the wall.
Originally wanted to do 6, but it was waaaay to humid. I thought about doing 2 more when we got to Illinois (were visiting family this weekend) but hanging out with my siblings and parents was just more important.
I thought about running in the morning, but I ended up walking all around my grandma’s property with Dean and my sisters dog instead. My grandma selling her farm so I guess I just had to start saying my goodbyes. I spent the first 20 years of my life on that farm, so seeing it get sold is really bumming me out.
Luke and I also did a bit of target practice. That’s always fun. 😄
- Rest Day
Walked around the farm again this morning. We’re heading back home this afternoon, so I’m glad I got out and walked around before spending 5 hours in the car.
Total weekly mileage: 13.21
Not bad all things considered. Honestly it’s probably good that I had a lower milage week to give my body a chance to rest and adjust. Aiming for 16-18 miles for next week! 😄
