Good Times in Oklahoma and a Few Other Things

Oklahoma was fun! We got to hang out with some of my husbands family that we don’t get to see often and that was really nice.

On Saturday after we got there we drove around quite a bit picking up things at different stores that people needed. We also went out to eat for lunch and dinner so everyone got to eat together. We got in a rousing game of Indian ball that evening, which I played barefoot as usual. Normally that’s not a problem, but it was super dry and the grass was really hard and prickly. Good thing my feet are covered in calluses from running. πŸ˜‰ That night a couple of us watched a scary movie! I LOVE scary movies but I don’t particularly like watching them alone, but Luke hates scary movies, so I don’t watch them often.

On Sunday we all just kinda hung out.We all ate a big breakfast together and we played a few games of ladder ball, then the boys played horseshoes while us girls hung out on the porch and talked. That evening a few of us played the worlds longest game uno because Luke’s younger brother didn’t shuffle the deck right (we had a lot of fun with it, though) and then Cards Against Humanity, which is always a good time!

We had to bring the dogs along and they had a pretty good time too! Lily got to guard goats again, which is probably her second favorite thing to do (herding cows/goats/whatever is her first). Dean chased swallows in the yard the whole time we were there, while Odin chased him. Haha that was pretty funny to watch.

I didn’t get a chance to run while we were there. I mean, I probably could have, I brought my shoes and whatnot, but I forgot a sports bra, so that wouldn’t have been very fun. Oh well. Plus a 4 and 1/2 hour drive there on Saturday then a 4 and 1/2 hour drive back Yesterday made things a little bit difficult as well. But after I’m done getting some food and water in me (which I’m currently doing) I’m going to go put a few miles in on the road.

Things ares still probably going to be a little bit difficult running wise this week. My mother-in-law and siblings-in-laws are driving here from Oklahoma today, staying for a few days, then driving back home to Minnesota on Thursday. Β (You see why we don’t see each other often? We all used to live in the St. Louis area, but we’ve all kinda scattered over the last 5 years).

So yeah, that’s what I’ve got going on. I hope you had a great weekend!!
