Weekly Recap: April 25th – May 1st, 2016

Monday:

I was supposed to do 30, but I was hot, miserable, and close to home, so I stopped at 25. I’m already looking forward to the colder months…

Tuesday:

  • Long intervals

Another run cut short. I was suppose to warm up for 10 minutes. Then run at threshold pace for 7 minutes, run at an easy pace for three minutes, walk for three minutes, then repeat twice.

There was a chance for sever weather. Thunderstorms that may produce hail. So once I started getting hit with really cold gusts of wind I decided I needed to head back near home. I finished out the second running portion of my workout then went home. It turns out I probably would have been ok to finish the workout, but better safe than sorry, right?

Wednesday:

  • Rest Day

Well, I’m not entirely sure you can call it a rest day. I spent A LOT of time in one of our garden patches weeding. That can get kinda hard! πŸ˜‰

This area looks soooo good now!! πŸ˜„

Thursday:

  • Rest Day

Sooooo originally I was going to do some strenght training, but I had an incedent while bathing Lily. Long story short. I hit my ribs on the side of the tub and moving hurts and I’m probably going to be out of commission for a few days.

Friday:

My ribs are still in pretty poor shape. So, nothing on Friday. We went out to eat and I had some AMAZING tiramisu.

Saturday:

Still can’t run. Or bike. Or do anything that involes heavy breathing. My ribs are still too sore. I did, however, walk around the dog park with the dogs and husband on Saturday. So at least I’m not just sitting around moping (even though my body probably needs a day of sitting and moping).

Sunday:

Finally! A day I got to sit around and do nothing. Not exactly fun, but definitely necessary. I probably need a few days like this, actually.

I’m like, 90% sure they’re fine haha. They didn’t bruise or swell, and they’re actually starting to feel a bit better. πŸ™‚

Right?! Hopefully that just means I’ll end up having good luck and be healthy for a long period of time. πŸ™‚
