- 30 easy minutes
- Yoga with Adriene Yoga Camp: Day 2
Yay! Running in the rain is always fun!! Although I had a run in with another loose dog. I don’t know what it is with people in this neighborhood and keeping their dogs where they belong, but this has happened too many times to count. This one got REALLY close with his hackles raised and was barking. I was scared I was going to get bit, but I stood my ground and I guess he decided messing with me was a bad idea.
- Long intervals
- Yoga for runners
- 15.5 miles (67 minutes) on the stationary bike
It was a really tough decision, but I cut this run short. I was supposed to do a 10 minute warm up, 3 x 8 minutes at threshold pace with 2 minutes of rest in between, then a 5-10 minute cool down. But near the end of my second interval my shin started to hurt. I initially I was just going to finish the last interval, but I had stopped at my driveway for a drink and decided I should just stop. Since I’ve been having issues with this shin since December I think it’s best not to push it( and it was just starting to get better☹️)…hopefully I just need a day or two off.
Haha the whole stationary bike thing was super unplanned. I was hanging out with my husband in the computer/bike room and it just kinda happened.
- 20 minutes (5.6 miles) of pyramids on the stationary bike
- Blogilates; Drive By Inner Thigh Challenge, 5 Best Butt Exercises, Quick Leg and Butt Sculptor, and Killer Leg Challenge.
So yeah, that was fun, but now my legs are DEAD.
- Rest Day
This was like, and extreme rest day haha. I spent most of the day reading and only got like, 2,000 steps in. It’s good to have a day like that every once in a while though. 🙂
- 10 minutes stretching/foam rolling
I was supposed to do intervals, but I did hills instead. I also had a guy try to ask me out…it was an interesting run.
- 45 minute run
- 15 minutes stretchin/foam rolling
Today was a brutal reminder of how absolutely unprepared I am for the heat. It was only 60 degrees out and I was DYING!! My legs didn’t want to move and I felt sick to my stomach. I probably should have brought water with me, but I didn’t think I’d need it for a 45 minute run. Obviously I was very wrong…
It’s getting to be that time when I stop trying to improve anything and just work on surviving. Haha there is no improvement for me in the summer, my only goal is to make it through without dying. I don’t care how pathetic or weird that sounds, I am a cold weather person!!
- Rest day
Good thing too! Last night we went to a bar and had a few drinks, so I don’t exactly feel like doing much today haha.
Total weekly running mileage: 16.44
