It’s officially getting too hot for me…

It was 60 degrees during my run this morning and it suuuuucked! I was kinda due for a bad run though, I mean, they can’t all be good. 

 
I just did my typical 5 mile long run. It took me about 6 minutes longer than my 5 milers have been taking me, but the heat coupled with my lack of sleep the past 2 nights, it’s not all that suprising that it took me longer. Especially since I had to take a few walking breaks. 

Haha I’m already complaining about heat and it’s not even that bad yet. Summer is gonna suck…

Anyway, I had sport beans to fuel with on today’s run! Unfortunately my stomach wasn’t all to happy with them, which was a first. Usually they work really well for me. Hopefully that was just a one time thing.  

Watermelon is my favorite flavor! 😁

I’m also starting to carry water with me. I have a handheld bottle but I’m not exactly a fan of it. I like having my hands free. I guess that means I’m gonna have to break out my hydration pack! The hydration pack makes my back sweat like crazy, but man is it convinent! 

Haha I feel like this post is super weird and random. Sorry about that, I’ve kinda been all over the place today, but I’m done rambling now. πŸ˜‰

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this album!

    Amazing how 60 degrees is too hot for you and too cold for me. Lol! I don’t mind 70 to 75 degree weather, but running where I live, that’s a luxury. The temperature this morning for my run was 82 degrees.

    oh man you are going to hate summer! i also hate holding things when i run so i have a fuel belt thing but i hate having things around my waist…its like a catch 22 really. i cant handle beans or anything when i run for some reason i have a super strong gag reflex when i run so i use vanilla gels…i know they are really thick but its easier than chewing beans for me anyway.

      Lol right?! I actually do pretty well with my hydration pack. It’s makes me sweat but it’s relatively comfortable. I just haven’t been able to justify wearing it because it does weigh me down a bit. I’ve never tried a fuel bet, but I don’t think I’d like having things around my waist either. I can’t stand gels. They make me gag lol. Give me a granola bar or any kind of bean/gummy and I’ll be good!

    I use the Delaney waistbelt by Camelbak. Full size water bottle + hands free, with an extra little pouch for essentials like [insert running snack of your choice here], keys, ID… whatever. Honestly I don’t love having something around my waist but I’ve found it overall to be more tolerable than a hydration pack.

      I actually really like my hydration pack, it’s super comfortable, doesn’t chafe (although the longest run I’ve done with it was only 10 miles), and it’s got lots of space for whatever I need to bring with me (super convenient since most of my running shorts only have one small pockets), it just makes my back sweat haha.
