Is it just me, or did this month seem to fly by? Actually, now that I think about it, this whole year is going by at light speed! I swear it was January just last week…
Anyway, this month was a lot better than last month running-wise. Had a few niggles in my hip and shin here and there, but for the most part they’re feeling pretty good now!
Oh and let’s not forget about the fact that I’m improving!! I’m still super slow, but I’ve been able to consistently run a little less slow for the past few weeks. Even on my longer runs, which is super spiffy!
I’m thinking about starting a Garmin training plan tomorrow. It wouldn’t be a bad idea. I’m physically capable of doing it, it would be a good way to mix things up, and I wouldn’t have to worry about planning workouts. But now that it’s getting warmer I’m not sure that if be able to finish it. The plan I want to do is 3 months long (I think) and that would put me finishing at the end of June, which is when things start getting crazy hot and humid. And intense workouts in the heat usually don’t agree with me. Hell, last September it was probably in the 60’s when I did most of my 10 milers for my half marathon, and I felt like SHIT for the rest of the day. I do NOT do well in the heat…Maybe I’ll just start it and see how far I get. 😉
Miles Run in March: 50.26
MUCH better than last month!! Which was 36 something miles, I think. Haha this morning when I saw I had 46.26 miles for the month I went out and did 4 more, just so I’d hit the 50 mile mark. 😁
