Weekly Recap March 7th-13th, 2016

  • 10 minutes (2.4  miles) on the stationary bike
  • 2 mile run (30 minutes of run/walk intervals with the husband)
  • Ab work
  • 10 minutes stretching/foam rolling

Ab work was KILLER on Monday! We only made it through twice instead of three times like we’ve been doing.

Damn I got my stretch on today! My quads were absolutely dead though, so it was necessary. At first I wasn’t entirely sure why they were so sore, but after checking Garmin Connect I think it had something to do with a not so great night’s sleep. Originally I wanted to do 20 easy minutes, but I cut it short to a mile because I felt pretty awful.

  • Rest day

My hip was hurting a bit on Wednesday so I took the day off. That ended up being a good call, as my hip feels fine now! Haha I guess my body was trying to tell me that I really needed a rest day.

  • Easy-ish 20 minute run in the morning
  • 30 Day Shred (Day 14)
  • 2 miles of run/walk intervals
  • 10 minutes stretching/foam rolling in the evening

Busy busy day! My first run was supposed to be easy, but I decided pushing it a little bit on the hills would be fun (and it totally was!). Second run was with Luke. We’re still doing 1 minute run/1 minute walk intervals for 30 minutes. I think he’s ready to increase his running intervals but he doesn’t want to yet. That’s fine with me though, I’m just happy he’s running with me! 😄

So I’ve really fallen off the 30DS bandwagon, but I’m totally getting back on again!  I also need to get back into stretching every night. Haha I’ve got a lot of things I need to work on…

  • 30 minutes (7.7 miles) on the stationary bike

Did Friday’s workout in my pajamas, so that was fun. Haha cotton gets really hot…

Starting to increase my long run again. Yay! Now if only I was faster…I’m working on it though. 😉

  • Rest day

Total weekly running mileage: 11.66

Not exactly my best week, but it definitely wasn’t my worst. I desperately want to FINALLY get over my injuries so I can start increasing my mileage and doing more speed work…patients isn’t exactly one of my strong points. Especially since I’ve been having issues for a while now. Cambered roads have been the worst thing to ever happen to me.
