Double Trouble!Β

I ran twice today! Yay!!

Hahaha don’t get too excited though, both runs were only two miles, but that’s still four miles, and four miles is better than no miles. πŸ˜‰

Originally I was just going to wait for the husband to get home so we could run together, but I was just feeling really blah all day. So at 3:00 pm I went out for a quick two miles.

Once I got out there I felt really good, so I picked up the pace a little and decided to find out how fast I could run the two mile route that Luke and I have been running.

This is the first time in a while that I’ve done two miles under 25 minutes. πŸ˜„

Then two hours later Luke got home and we did our 30 minutes of run/walk intervals. Haha we were both starving by the end and I don’t think either of us was very happy. But at least we got it done.

Two-a-days! Have you heard of the Ragnar Relay series? You’re on a team of 12 runners, alternating legs and going about 200 miles total. It’s actually not as hard as it sounds, and if you’re on a team of people you like it’s a lot of fun. Might want to keep it in mind for the future…

I have heard of it! And I kinda want to do it someday! Haha first I have to find 11 other people who’d be willing to do it with me. πŸ˜†

Yeah, that can be tricky. I’m lucky in that my workplace sponsors a team and even pays our entry fee, so I do it with 11 coworkers each June and we only need to pay for gas, meals, a hotel room, etc… Also lucky that my coworkers who do it are good people. I’d imagine if you get involved in a local running club somebody may try to set up a team. I also know people who have joined a team of total strangers looking for an extra runner, which sounds scary but they’ve had a good time and even made new friends doing it.

Wow! That’s really awesome!! I feel like a team of strangers would actually be a lot of fun, just because I’ve never met a runner I didn’t like, but I have HORRIBLE social anxiety, so that’s not happening anytime soon haha. It’s also why I haven’t gotten involved in a running group yet. One day I will though! πŸ™‚
