Days like this kinda make me wish I had a treadmill

*gasp*

Did I really just say that? I mean, I’m the girl who enjoys braving snow and ice, who’s run in -10 degree weather without a second thought. The girl who will gladly wake up at 5 am to get her run in before sun comes up and it gets too hot.  Rain? Bring it on!! And humidity? Ha! I grew up near the Missisipi river, I laugh in the face of humidity! (Except not really because I HATE the summer…)

Anyway, my point is that I’m usually not afraid to brave the elememts. But it’s kind of a mood killer when your neighborhood is full of hills and it’s crazy windy. Especially on your recovery day.

Ok, I’m done complaining now. I’m going to put on my big girl pants running tights and get it done.

Do you enjoy braving the elements?

What’s your least favorite weather condition to run in?

Running in all sorts of different weather is actually not as hard as one might think. Mentally it can be a whole hell of a lot harder, but once you get out there and going it’s not that bad! 😄 Dude, that really sucks…but at least you’re still planning on getting a run in! Even if it does have to be on the dreadmill.

Totally agree! It is literally THE WORST THING EVER. I’m basically dreading the summer months because we also end up with temps and humidity in the 90’s here in the Midwest…

I started running last year. I’m not a fan of being out in the elements at all and wouldn’t you know it my first 5k was in the rain! On July 3rd I did it and finished. So now I can’t say I don’t run in the rain anynore. But I love the summer! Being cold is no fun for me at all…blah!
