5 miles, smile!! πŸ˜

Honestly this wasn’t that exciting of a run. I ran for 2 miles, but it turns out my legs were a lot more tired that I originally though, so I alternated between running and walking for a while, then I ran the last mile.

It may not have been exciting, but aside for my tired legs I felt really good. It was pretty nice outside so there were lots of other runners which is always neat. I didn’t get to actually talk to anyone today, but saying hi to other runners is always super fun. Haha at least I think so.

All smiles while sporting some awesome pit stains.

Now my husband and I are stitting outside with the dogs and enjoying the nice weather. He’s smoking a pork shoulder and I’m super excited for that! He makes the best pulled pork. πŸ˜‹

Did you run today? How’d it go for you?

Do you like greeting/talking to other runners while on the run? Β Or would you rather be left alone?Β

Ran 8 miles, and it really depends when I’m running. Sometimes, just crank up Pandora and run. But always smile and wave when I pass runners, walker, dog walkers, etc. Great job at finishing it out, those days with tired legs can sometimes make you turn around and go home.

Walking or Running still moving forward!!!

Awesome! If I don’t say hi I usually just smile as well. Thank you!! Haha I kinda thought about cutting the run short, but I decided it was better to get the miles in even if I had to walk. πŸ˜„

I didn’t get a run in today, but I’m gearing up for a long run tomorrow. I have to say I love other runners when I’m out! Once I was really struggling and had slowed to a walk, but a few words of encouragement from another runner gave me the motivation to power through and finish strong. I don’t know who he was but I will always remember that.

Hey! I live in the KC area as well! Neat! 😁 it has been super nice here, but I’m slightly disappointed by that. I like the cold and snow haha. Thank you!!

As far as greeting/talking to other runners, it’s totally dependent on how my own run was going. If I’m feeling good, I want to say “hi” and talk to and kid around with every person I see. If I’m struggling, I wish I were the only person on the path so nobody else would see me struggle. Glad to see your issues from earlier in the week are gone. Sometimes my legs are unexpectedly heavy shortly after feeling a bit sick. That’s probably what happened to you today. Enjoy the pulled pork!

I totally feel ya on that! If I’m having a bad run I usually want to be left alone as well. That’s a very good point! I wouldn’t be surprised if that was my problem. The pork was amazing!! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜

mmm pork, i love pulled pork. i did run saturday, 8 miles, but had to stop a few times to stretch out my hip, its been giving me a lot of trouble recently. i also find my legs get tired when there is a drastic change in temperature. it was about 20 degrees warmer this weekend than last and my legs were having NONE of it πŸ˜‰

Huh, that’s really interesting. It got really warm here over the weekend as well. I wonder if that had something to do with it.
