This is legit how I feel after almost a week of all sorts of goodies and yummy food. But I suppose between Christmas and being at my parents it’s bound to happen.
Today I’m making a point to start eating well again, but I’m not exactly off to a great start. I woke up feeling gross and tired and not hungry at all (which is kinda crazy for me, I’m ALWAYS hungry 😉). So For now I’m settling for tea with coffee creamer. Not the best option, but it’s better than nothing.
Sometimes I just worry that I’m not getting enough calories when I do this and then I usually end up eating too many calories later at night. It’s a bad cycle to fall into.
For about 3 years I’ve been counting calories in an attempt to lose weight, and it worked for a year or two. But it’s just not working for me anymore so I’ve been trying to eat “clean” and intuitively. Obviously that hasn’t been the case lately but I’m seriously getting back on the wagon today.
Anyhoo, I’m going to attempt to get a mile or two in today. They’re probably not going to be very pleasant miles thanks to all of the Christmas cookies and wine I had last night and lack of breakfast this morning, but like I said, I’m getting back on track today. And I know I’m more likely to do it if I know I’m getting back into running.
Have you been indulging this holiday season?
How do you plan on getting back on track?
